The Sage Alliance Rochelle Park National Honor Society (NHS) recently made a meaningful visit to the Midland School, where they demonstrated their dedication to promoting literacy and fostering friendships among young students. During the Kindergarten's Reading Workshop time, all nine members of the NHS actively engaged with the students by sharing and reading books together. This initiative not only aimed to enhance the children's reading skills, but also to cultivate a sense of camaraderie and connection within the community.
This event also exemplified the NHS's unwavering commitment to the pillars of leadership and service to others. In line with their values, the group has embarked on an ongoing project focused on promoting health, education, and wellness in early childhood education settings. By investing their time and efforts in initiatives that benefit the community, the NHS members are setting a commendable example for their peers and the younger generation.
In addition to their local endeavors, the NHS is actively fundraising for the New Jersey chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA-NJ). This organization plays a crucial role in building brighter futures for children by advocating for family wellness, positive parenting practices, healthy child development, and nurturing communities. By supporting PCA-NJ, the NHS is contributing to a noble cause that aligns with their values of service and compassion towards those in need.
Overall, the Sage Alliance Rochelle Park National Honor Society's visit to the Midland School not only promoted literacy and friendship, but also underscored the importance of community engagement and service. Their collaborative efforts and dedication to making a positive impact serve as an inspiration to us all.
